02/03/13 Knapps Hill Tunnel Work

If you plan and driving between Chelan and Wenatchee Wednesday, plan on taking a little longer to get from point A to point B. State Department of Transportation spokesman Jeff Adamson says DOT crews doing repair work on light fixtures in the Knapps Hill Tunnel. The Tunnel will be closed from nine a.m. to three p.m. Wednesday. Traffic on US 97-A will be detoured just south of the Tunnel, up SR 971, the Navarre Coulee Road. You can also use US 97 and State Route 150 on the other side of the river. Adamson estimates each detour adds about 15 minutes to your trip.
