The information provided below is attributed to the Wenatchee Police Department, Sgt John Kruse:

At 1:25 AM this morning firefighters and police officers responded to the report of a building on fire in the 1100 block of North Wenatchee Avenue in Wenatchee. First responders found a hay barn and attached warehouse owned by the Ag Supply store was on fire. Firefighters were able to put out the fire but the structure is a total loss, having suffered heavy structural damage. The value of the building and the damaged contents inside are not known at the present time. Fortunately, nobody was hurt as a result of this incident.

Police Investigators have reviewed surveillance footage from Ag Supply and believe this fire was intentionally set. The Ag Supply video shows a large flash and sudden fire in the hay barn at 1:20 AM as a person runs away through the parking lot. The suspect is a male wearing all dark clothing and a light colored hat.

Police Investigators are asking for the public’s help to solve this arson. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Edgar Reinfeld at Tel. 509-888-4132.
