Saturday was a busy day for firefighters. Wenatchee fire crews were called out around three p.m. to a structure fire that heavily damaged a mobile home in the 16 hundred block of Methow Street. A few hours later, around seven p.m. firefighters, with mutual aid from Douglas County Fire District two, responded to a report of smoke in the Department of Licensing, in the 300 block of North Chelan Avenue. That was caused by a burning light fixture.
Grant County Fire District 3, with mutual aid from Douglas County Fire District two worked on a brush fire near the Quincy Gun Range Saturday afternoon. Fire managers say there were no structures threatened. The fire blackened about 30 acres of sage and grass. The cause is still under investigation.
