Vehicular homicide charges may be filed against a 21 year old Wenatchee man involved in a one vehicle rollover accident around 6-30 Friday evening that claimed the life of an East Wenatchee teen. According to the State Patrol report, the 16 year old male was a passenger in a pickup driven by Jose Villa Casillas. They were southbound on State Route 97A, south of the Knapps Tunnel, when the pickup left the roadway to the right. Villa Casillas overcorrected and the vehicle ended up on its side in a ditch. The 16 year old male, whose name was not released, was taken to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee where he died. He was not belted up. Villa Casillas and three other teens in the vehicle, a 15 year old Wenatchee girl, a 15 year old Wenatchee boy and a 16 year old East Wenatchee boy, were belted up. Their status was not immediately available. The Patrol report says drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident.
