08/26/12 Body Found By Columbia River



The body of an adult male found Saturday morning along the Columbia River near Mattawa is believed to be that of a man who disappeared after jumping into the river about a week ago. Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones reports that family of the missing man found a man's body along the west shore of the Columbia River across from Desert Aire. The body was recovered by Grant County Sheriff's Marine Unit Deputies. The body is now in the custody of the Grant County Coroner, who wll release the name of the man once the identity has been confirmed. Jones adds the Sheriff's Office extends its sincerest condolences to the man's family.
