Apple Days is set for this weekend at the Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village. Museum president Dean Rainey says new this year are the Tillicum Riders from Wenatchee. They'll show horses and pack mules, hold demonstrations and give rides for the kids. John Tucker is slated to to perform in Beggar and Builder, the story of Mother Joseph this year. Also new this year, performances from the Wenatchee Youth Circus. Rainey says they'll have plenty of favorites, including the Oregon Trail Travelers, and Indian Encampment and flintknapping, so you can see what it was like in pioneer days. Other events include live music, an Apple Pie contest, a book sale and bake sale, and a raffle of an Amish handstitched quilt. Cashmere Museum will also host an Old Time Gospel singing group to be an accompaniment to the Saint Francis Xavier Mission Church service on Sunday. Rainey says Apple Days is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Museum. Admission is five dollars for adults and two dollars for kids. The fun gets underway Saturday morning at eight with a breakfast that's included in the admission price. Rainey says hours are about nine to four each day.
