Time is running out if you want to register to vote in the General Election. Monday is the last day for residents to register via online or via mail, or to update their voter registration information. You can click on www.myvote.wa.gov to register on line. Secretary of State Sam Reed says Washington is one of eight states that allow voter registration and registration updates via the Internet. Reed says the November election includes many important local races and three statewide initiatives, I-1125 deals with transportation tolls and funding, I-1163 focuses on home health-care workers and I-1183 asks voters to approve privatizing liquor sales. There are also two state constitutional amendments, focusing on voting in presidential elections and dealing with the budget stabilization account. Ballots go out by October 21st and need to be postmarked or returned to an official drop box or elections office by November 8th.
