10/15/12 Chelan County Sites Hazardous Waste Disposal at Olds Station
Chelan County is establishing a permanent household hazardous waste disposal facility at Olds Station. The site will eventually replace the event that collects thousands of pounds of old batteries and paint each year. The new site will have the capacity to hold upwards of 20 tons of material a month. Commissioner Keith Goehner says the costs of operating the facility will be shared through government grant dollars that contribute into the Chelan County Solid Waste program.
