A public meet and greet for the three finalists for the Pangborn Memorial Airport's directors post is set for this weekend. Mark Urdahl, executive director for the Port of Chelan County says a national recruiting firm was contracted to find a list of qualified applicants.
The finalists, chosen from a field of 17 applicants include: Richard McConnell, most recently airport director at Boise Airport in Idaho, Bryant Walker, assistant security manager at Sacramento County International Airport in California and Trent Moyers, airport director at Elko Regional Airport in Nevada. A public reception to meet the finalists is set for Sunday evening from six to 7-30 at the airport. Pangborn Memorial Airport Governing Board meets in special session Monday morning to interview the candidates. The airport has been without a director since late last year when Greg Phillips resigned to take a job at an airport in Colorado. Operations Manager Ron Russ has been serving as the interim director.
