2011 Veterans Day Parade

Rain or shine, the annual Veteran's Day parade is set to go Friday morning in Wenatchee.

Dan Heinbecher, Commander of the American Legion Post 10 says anyone planning on being in the parade should meet at ten a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank at Chelan Avenue and Whitman Way. 

The parade begins at 10:45am, forming >on Chelan Avenue, and will make a stop at eleven a.m. at Memorial Park for a Veterans Day service. The parade continues on Orondo Avenue, onto Mission Street, ending at Second Avenue.

Glen Widener, Battalion Chief with Wenatchee Fire and Rescue says after the parade, the Fire Department will hold a free barbecue for veterans, active service men and women and their family.
