A quarrel between a Wenatchee couple went bad around 3:00p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) during a standoff with Wenatchee Police at the 700 block of Ringold Street.
"The man had assualted his long time girlfriend, she fled the house and he barricaded himself in the house. It took awhile to negiotate with him to give up and he did. He's now at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center," said Sgt. Cherrie Smith.
Smith says 18-20 officers were involved in the confrontation with guns drawn.
The victim of the assault escaped the home safely with her three children who are now back the residence.
Smith says the 29-year old Wenatchee man threatened to kill himself with a knife before he was apprehended.
No shots were fired and no one is hurt.
