Two 16 year old Bridgeport boys were arrested Thursday on burglary and theft charges. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says the homeowners of a residence in the 23 hundred block of Tacoma Avenue in Bridgeport told authorities he had returned home a little before noon to find the teens burglarizing their residence. The suspects fled out the back door carrying stolen property. Gjesdal says officers were able to locate both of the suspects within a few blocks of the burglary scene. He says the suspects had some stolen property in their possession and a canine unit helped locate other items the teens discarded as they fled. Deputies recovered stolen property including two rifles, ammunition, jewelry, cash and coins.
