A man who reportedly driving a pickup stolen from the Spokane area, was arrested in East Wenatchee Thursday afternoon after he caused a couple of injury collisions. East Wenatchee Police Chief Dan Reierson says an officer attempted to pull over the driver, who was seen driving erratically, in the 100 block of Valley Mall Parkway. After the suspect drove through the Health Department Parking lot, he and the officer continued onto Valley Mall Parkway. Reierson says the suspect hit a south bound pickup, causing that vehicle to roll. The suspect hit another vehicle at the intersection of Grant Road and Valley Mall Parkway, sending that vehicle head on into another vehicle. The suspect's vehicle came to rest and the driver tried to flee on foot. He was apprehended hiding in the bathroom of the El Parton Restaurant. Reierson says the suspect, whose name and hometown was not immediately available, was charged with 2 counts of vehicular assault, possession of stolen property, DUI, driving with a suspended license, and resisting arrest. The names and nature of those injured was not immediately available.
