November unemployment numbers Chelan and Douglas County has grown to 7.7-percent from October's 6.3-percent according to regional economist Mark Berreth.
Berreth says were up in unemployment from October of 2011 but down in from November of last year.
At this time in 2010 Chelan and Douglas Counties had 8.3-percent of its population unemployed.
Berreth says its been the tourism industry along with leisure...hospitality and retail trade.
Berreth says the consumer will need to be the primary driver from here on out.
Currently...Grant County has an unemployment rate of 9.6-percent and Okananogan's population has a double digit jobless rate of ten-percent.
Statewide...the employment security department indicates that 8.7-percent of citizens remain unemployed.
