An 18 year old East Wenatchee man was arrested early Thursday in connection with a rash of vandalism and thefts in the East Wenatchee. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says Justin T. Dumont was contacted by a deputy in the 200 block of 23rd Street NE as he and other officers were investigating a series of thefts and malicious mischief complaints. Gjesdal says the suspect damaged Christmas decorations, knocked over driveway lights and stolen Christmas decorations and soda pop. Gjesdal says the teen told deputies he committed the crimes because he was "bored and looking for something to do".
