News - Talk - Sports

The holiday season is just around the corner, and along with the hustle and bustle of shoppers, business owners also need to watch out for hustlers looking to scam them.

Kirk Drolet,  Fraud Detective with the Wenatchee Police Department encourages people to attend a class today on how to protect yourself from scammers.   Drolet says a Secret Service agent will talk about how to spot bogus bills, and he and others will talk about common scams.   While the classes are geared toward businesses, Drolet says the information is good for everyone to have. The classes start at two, four and six p.m. today in the city council chambers at Wenatchee City Hall. There is no charge. Drolet says he would like an RSVP at 888-4259 so he has a rough head count. The council chambers can comfortably seat about 50 people per class.
