Chris Hansen was born and raised in Wenatchee and is a lifetime resident of The Valley.

Hansen has worked in broadcast media for nearly a decade-and-a-half. His plentifly checkered resume includes time spent as a television talk show host, syndicate program host and producer, disc jockey, sports play-by-play personality and public address announcer.

Hansen's current roles with KPQ include host duties for The Afternoon Update and It's Your Turn programs. He is also the play-by-play voice of the Wenatchee Wild hockey team.

Chris has a love for many things and an interest in all things. His inquenchable thirst for knowledge, appreciation for language and quick, rye (and sometimes downright bizarre) sense of humor make for an always informative and unpredictable experience for his listeners.

Hansen is married and has two "fur kids" (as his wife has dubbed them), a fat black and white cat and a sassy little Pembroke Welsh Corgi dog. Chris enjoys spending time with all of them when not engaged in his other true passion of broadcast communications.
