Kory and Mary Jackson have been franchise operators since 1997, when they acquired their first store in Corvallis, Oregon. Five years later they owned Kory and Mary Jackson have been franchise operators since Jiffy Lube locations in Washington and Oregon, including two stores located here in Wenatchee. They decided to simplify life and sold most of their stores in late 2002, but kep the two local centers. With the graduation of their youngest daughter from high school in June 2010, they decided to relocate to Wenatchee and start enjoying the "300 days of sunshine" for which the area is well known. Getting involved in the community and delivering a great customer experience is top on their agenda.
Prior to becoming a Jiffy Lube franchisee Kory and Mary had other professions. Mary was a registered dietician and practiced with several hospital groups in Salt Lake City. However, her best job was being a full time mom for her four daughters. Mary graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics from Purdue University. Kory graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Utah. His first career was as a Certified Public Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand where he worked four years in the Salt Lake City office. He was then recruited to be the treasurer for a Quaker State subsidiary known as Q Lube. Q Lube was the second leading quick lube feranchisor in the industry at the time. After nine years in this position Kory was promoted to Assistant Treasurer for the parent company and was relocated to Dallas, Texas. In addition to being a CPA, Kory was a Certified Cash Manager and held an Associate in Risk Managment from the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Kory and Mary left Texas to become quick lube franchisees and have enjoyed the challenges that are a part of this great industry. The pace of work, the employees and customer contact being among the more rewarding experiences.
