15 State Legislators spent the past couple of days touring transportation projects in Central Washington. 12th District Representative Mike Armstrong is the ranking Republican on the House Transportation Committee. He says on Wednesday afternoon the lawmakers toured projects including the Senator George Sellar Bridge, and the Fancher Heights-Eastmont Avenue extension. Armstrong says their bus got stuck in traffic while cruising North Wenatchee Avenue around 4-45p.m. Armstrong says it has been challenging to get funding priority for projects in Central Washington, where the traffic load is a lot less than along the I-5 Corridor. Thursday Legislators toured rail projects in Quincy and Moses Lake, drive through briefings of State Route 17 between Ephrata and Othello, State Route 26 between Othello and Vantage and Interstate 90 through Ellensburg.
