WENATCHEE, Wash. – Parker Johnson scored two first-period goals and Robert Nichols pitched his second shutout of the season Saturday to lead the Wenatchee Wild to a 3-0 victory over the Alaska Avalanche at the Town Toyota Center. The win gave the Wild (3-3) a split in its home-opening series against the Avs, who won the first game Friday, 2-1. Nichols stopped all 30 of Alaska’s shots to earn his second shutout in three starts with the Wild. The Wild will host the Odessa Jackalopes at the Town Toyota Center on Oct. 14-15. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
