Authorities are searching for a 36 year old Spokane man after he fled a head on accident around 11-15am Saturday in the 1300 block of Maple Street in Wenatchee.
Wenatchee Police Sergeant Jim West says Jason Fowler was fleeing a Washington State Patrol trooper's traffic stop prior to the accident.
The driver of the SUV he hit, 44 year old Teresa Hernandez of Wenatchee, was taken to Central Washington Hospital for precautionary reasons and was treated and released.
Following the accident Fowler fled on foot. That led to a manhunt with help from the WSP, Chelan County Sheriff's office and Wenatchee police.
West adds that Fowler may be armed, and has a criminal history. Fowler is described as a white male, about five foot 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and a baseball cap. He says if you spot the suspect, don't approach him instead call 911 and tell dispatchers where you saw him, his direction of travel and give a clothing description.
