Wings and Wheels kicked off Thursday afternoon in East Wenatchee. The four-day festival celebrates Clyde Pangborn's historic transpacific flight which ended at Fancher Field in 1931.
The Davis Shows Carnival continues at Eastmont Community Park Friday afternoon. Highlights at the Park this weekend include a breakfast starting at seven a.m Saturday and eight a.m. Sunday, a car show and swap meet, food and craft fairs, and lots of kids activities. The Wings portion of the Festival is set for Saturday at Pangborn Airport. East Wenatchee evens coordinator Dawn Collings says a free shuttle will run between the two locations.
Activities at the airport include airplane rides, a variety of displays, kids activities and for the adults, a wine garden.
