Two suspects were arrested Sunday in connection with a burglary reported earlier in the day at an East Wenatchee residence. Douglas County undersheriff Don Culp says deputies responded to the Rock Island Road home shortly after 1 pm Sunday after the home owner said he had just interupted a burglary in progress.
The man said he had just returned home and found a man and woman walking away from his home to their car which was parked at his residence. The homeowner said he observed his flat screen television in the back seat of the suspect vehicle before it sped off. He was able to write down the license plate number which was traced back to a Moses Lake residence.
About an hour later deputies were notified by the Washington State Patrol that the suspect vehicle had been spotted near Quincy and that troopers were in pursuit. The two suspects were arrested. They were identified as 23 year old Courtney Ryan of Cle Elum and 24 year old David Makarov of Moses Lake. Arresting officers say the flat screen tv was still in the back seat of the car along with other items contained in a box that had a mailing label with the victims address on it.
