Two long-time political adversaries are coming together to organize an anti-war rally in Leavenworth later this week. The event is being planned along with other demonstrations around the country in conjunction with the ten year annivesary of the start of the war in Afghanistan. Viet Nam war veteran, Bill Cowles and former Westside High School instructor, Mark Lindstrom are from different political persuasions but both agree that its time to end the hostilities in the Middle East. Lindstrom says attitudes are changing regarding the ongoing war especially with veterans groups who he claims are also supportive of Thursday's rally. Lindstrom and Cowles are planning their rally for Thursday afternoon between 5 and 6 pm in front of Leavenworth City Hall.
