More than 13 thousand pounds of non-perishable food were donated Friday morning to Serve Wenatchee Valleys Food Bank. Cary Condotta with the Town Auto Group says the "We Love this Town" food drive started ten weeks ago and involved the four Town Auto dealers and a dozen other sponsors. He says their goal was six thousand pounds. He thanks everyone who donated and helped them more than double that goal. Pastor Bob Shepard with Serve Wenatchee Valley says the large donation was very timely. The food bank's cupboards were just about bare. Shepard says they were down to cans of beans and soup.
