If you thought the wildfire season was over, think again
Douglas...Grant and Chelan County fire fighters have controlled a 100-acre brush fire in the Rock Island area last night.
The flames were first reported along Rock Island Drive around 4 p.m. By 5:15 it was a three-alarm blaze. officials with Douglas County Fire District #2 reported the fire continued to burn on the hillside in the vicinity Pengarden and Batterman roads.
Fire officials say no structural damage or injuries have occurred.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
