US Forest Service Fire managers are continuing a series of prescribed burns in the Lake Wenatchee/Plain area on the Wenatchee River Ranger District.
This week the emphasis continues on forest fuel reduction in the Natapoc Mountain area near Plain. All burns are occurring in former timber harvest areas.
Thus far over 300 acres of forest debris has been burned off this fall. Residents and motorists will see residual smoke from piles burning in the Natapoc Ridge area as treatments and conditions permit.
