Pushed in part the Mayoral race in Wenatchee, Chelan County elections officials are predicting a higher than usual turnout for this off-year election. Auditor Skip Moore estimates voter turnout will be around 60 percent. He says typically most returns come in during the final days of the election. With voter returns at over 30 percent Friday, he estimates voter turnout will reach nearly double that. Washington's Secretary of State Sam Reed is predicting a 47 percent voter return, statewide. Douglas County Auditor Thad Duvall estimates that voter returns in Douglas County will be at around the statewide estimate.
