A program that helps Homeless veterans get a roof over their heads is coming to the Wenatchee Valley. Chelan County Commissioner Ron Walter says officials with the Washington State Veterans Association made a presentation at last week's board meeting. He says the program will provide housing and services for homeless vets. Walter says the program will also enable the County to leverage money's it normally budgets veterans assistance. The homeless veterans program will cover both Chelan and Douglas Counties.
