11/08/11 Chelan County Election Returns



 

Frank Kuntz has what appears to be a commanding lead over Shilo Schauer in the race for Wenatchee mayor. Kuntz garnered 53 percent of the election night returns with Schauer collecting 46 percent of the vote.

 

In the two contested Wenatchee City Council races, Bryan Campbell bested Drew Zabrocki 63 to 37 percent. Linda Herald dominated in her race against Martin Escalera with Herald garnering over 78 percent of the ballots.

 

In the Cashmere City Council contests Donna Lee Moore trailed Derek Knutsen with Knutsen getting over 69 percent of the vote. John Bryant appears to have beaten back Dave Erickson's write-in campaign with collecting 57 percent of the vote.

 

In the Chelan City Mayor's race, Bob Goedde is the apparent winner beating back a challenge from Bill Crego with 68 percent of the vote

 

The lone contested Chelan City Council race Ben Higgins has received 67 percent versus George Lingard with 33 percent.

 

 

Cheri Neveu Wire appears to be the unofficial winner in the Entiat City Council balloting with over 49 percent of the vote. Delores Finchum garnered 35 percent.

 

In the Leavenworth Mayor's race, Cheri Farivar bested Robert Francis in the election night vote count with 59 percent of the vote.

 

in the Leavenworth City Council contest incumbant, Peter Devries appears to have been unseated by challenger, Carolyn Wilson who collected 53 percent of the ballots.

 

Cashmere School District voters have elected former Douglas County Commissioner, Brian Maydole who outpolled Salvadore Bravo 69 percent to 30 percent in the election night balloting. Kelly Green has defeated Steve Bakken with over 71 percent of the votes.

 

In the Lake Chelan School District Jeff Fehr won last night's vote talley with a 53 to 47 percent margin over Elizabeth Juarez De Lopez.

 

Voters in Chelan County Fire District 6 have rejected a proposal to lift the district's levy lid for new fire apparatus. the measure required a 60 percent vote to pass but as of last night's polling 62 percent voted no.

 

And its too close to call the proposed levy in the Manson parks and recreation district. Last night's polling had that measure in a flat footed tie.

 

The election results are unofficial until all the ballots are counted. Auditor Skip Moore says more votes will be counted later in the week.
