Steve Lacy will spend another four years in office as East Wenatchee's Mayor after beating Dave Bremmer. Lacy won by a 20-percent margin with 60-percent of the vote and Bremmer 40-percent.

 

Three East Wenatchee City Council races spawned two landslide victories.

Tim Detering topped Gordon Schulze 65-percent to 35-percent in the position six contest. Frank Collings beats Stan Peak 62 to 38-percent for position one. Nathan Scott loses to 44-percent to Sandra McCourt's 55-percent for council position five.

 

Mike McCourt has been re-elected to the East Wenatchee Water District board of Commissioners after winning 55-percent of the vote against Jim Davis.

 

In the lone Eastmont Sewer District race Wayne Barnhart outpolled Mark Maydole collecting almost two-thirds of the ballots. Barnhart won 61-percent to Maydole's 39-percent.

 

Rich Poppie is Director #5 for the Waterville School District. Poppie bested candidate Cody Salazar-Preugchat with 67 percent of the vote. 

Marilyn Lynn will take the seat as Bridgeport's new Mayor. Bill Zweigel lost to Lynn with only 42% of the total vote. Another Bridgeport race included a big win for council position #5 candidate Neil Jacobson winning 63-percent of the votes compared to June Price's 37-percent.

 

The town of Waterville voted in Brian Munson to the City Council. Munson outpolled G.Wayne Hawks by a 40-percent margin. Hawks earned only 30-percent of the ballots.

 

There wasn't much contention in the pursuit of the Douglas County Fire District 2 Commissioner seat. 84-percent of voters elected Rich Adams with only 15-percent in favor of Ettore Castellenti.
