A 15-year old Moses Lake girl is recovering from a four-day ordeal after being held captive against her will in a Moses Lake home from Wednesday through Sunday of last week.
The Grant County Sherrif's Office says she escaped her 32-year old male captor... and is now in the custody of her mother.
Grant County Undersheriff Dave Ponozzo says the girl was walking to school when the man, who was a friend of the family, invited her in for a cigarette then locked the door behind her.
Ponozzo said the victim was allegedly sexually assaulted on Friday.
Authorities say the girl escaped through a window when the suspect wasn't home.
Ponozzo added that the victim received treatment at an area hospital afterwards.
Detectives have collected evidence and the investigation continues. The suspect is not facing charges at this time.
