The Apple Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is not only proactive when it comes to protecting people from house fires...but they reacted to five blazes over the weekend.
Two homes in Omak...one house in Royal City...a residence in Ephrata and a Grand Coulee house sustained damage from flames.
Apple Valley Chapter Administrator Mariah Thornock says volunteers from several areas provided emotional..medical and housing support for victims of the flames.
The Red Cross volunteers on site were members of the Chapter's Disaster Action Team.
