A Bridgeport man, with an extensive criminal history, was arrested Friday evening by officers with the Douglas County Sheriff's office Special Response Team. Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says the 46 year old suspect was wanted on an immigration warrant for "Re-entry after deportation". Gjesdal says the suspect has a lengthy list of arrests including narcotics, resisting arrest, and DUI. He was located at a residence in the 12 hundred block of Fairview Avenue in Bridgeport. Gjesdal says initially family members tried to tell deputies that he was not at the house, but he was found to be hiding in a bedroom. The suspect was arrested without incident and taken to the Okanogan County Jail.
