Chelan County Port District Commissioners have adopted a 4.2 million dollar spending plan for next year. That's about a 1.7 percent reduction in spending from the current year budget. The 2012 budget includes reduced travel expenses. employee salaries are also reduced due to retirements. Next year's budget does not include potential proceeds from the pending sale of the Cashmere Mill Site property to Crunch-Pak. Commissioners also approved a one-percent property tax increase. The increase is due in part to an increase in construction projects and operating expenses at Pangborn Airport.
