Skiers travelled up hill to Mission Ridge Ski Resort's grand opening over the weekend.

Ski Resort Marketing Director Jerri Barkley says they had around 1,000 skiers over the weekend with 2 feet of snow on the ground. 

 

Barkley hopes for a better turnout for the upcoming holiday weekend as the resort will re-open Friday.

Forecasts call for another two to four inches on the mountain over the next 48 hours.
