The Douglas County Sheriff's office is investigating a recent burglary at a home in Rock Island. Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says deputies were called to a residence in the 10 block of Indiana Avenue Friday after the home had been ransacked. The victim reported that unknown persons had entered the home through an unlocked window. Several items were reported stolen, including about two thousand dollars in cash, a 9mm pistol, a 12 guage shotgun and a camcorder. Gjesdal adds the Sheriff's Office has a reward fund for person or persons who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing such crimes.
