Chelan County Authorities say a 49-year old Wenatchee man is in critical condition after shooting himself in the head this morning.
Deputies and Wenatchee Police responded to the incident around 10:00 a.m. today (tuesday) at 1900 block of Orchard Avenue .
Chelan County Chief of Operations John Wisemore said when officers arrived at the scene the man was still concious and somewhat alert. He was taken to Central Washington Hospital and a short time later was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, he is in critical condition.
As a precaution...several schools were put on "Lock Down" for a short period of time.
Five other rounds were fired into the bedroom wall and ceiling where the man was staying.
No one else was hurt.
