East Wenatchee appears to be in good financial health judging by the budget adopted for next year by the City Council last night. Mayor Steve Lacy says the City will not have to make any cuts to essential services in order to balance the budget. Mayor Lacy says the City has been blessed with a recovering sales tax base. He says tax revenues have actually improved from last year. He says the budget also includes employee pay increases of about 3 percent. Lacy says the City's improving financial health will also result in a higher year-end reserve fund. The City's general fund budget for 2010 totals 10.4 million dollars.
