Grant County Deputies say a 27-year old Moses Lake man is recovering after being assaulted by his brother with a machete early Saturday.
Deputies responded to what was called a "stabbing" at 10318 County Road 16-NE ten miles north of Moses Lake.
The victim of the assault is Agustin Jimenez who sustained a deep cut to his left arm which was allegedly caused by 20-year old Jesus Adrian Jimenez.
The victim was transported by E-M-T to Samaritan Hospital.
Grant County Undersheriff Dave Ponozzo says the suspect was apparently under the influence of narcotics at the time.
Deputies learned that Jesus Jimenez was allegedly armed with a rifle and had fled to a field after the attack.
Jesus apparently went back to his home where was apprehended a short time later after a brief struggle with law enforcement.
Jesus is lodged in Grant County Jail on suspicion of first degree assault and domestic violence.
