Washington State Troopers say holiday drinking and driving is on the decline compared to this time last year. There is a concern however those numbers could pickup this weekend as News Year's eve falls on a Saturday. The State Patrol says the 161 arrests made over Christmas weekend was significantly lower compared to last year's 194 detainments. State Patrol Chief John Batiste says "we're going in the right direction...but these numbers are still too high."
