12/28/11 Bail Set For Driver Involved in Second St. and Wenatchee Avenue Crash



Wenatchee police say 100-thousand dollars bail has been set for 18-year old Mutaz Sarameh of Wenatchee who evaded police last Wednesday at a speed excess of 94 miles per hour.

Sarameh struck four vehicles along the way until coming to a stop at the intersection of second street and North Wenatchee Avenue.

The driver then fled the scene on foot with police officers apprehending him two blocks away.

No injuries were reported for three of the four vehicles struck.

The driver of the last vehicle hit was knocked unconscious briefly and later complained of chest pains...he was taken to Central Washington Hospital where he was reported in satisfactory condition the morning after. .

He's being held on felony alluding...vehicular assault...felony hit and run...reckless driving and driving while license is suspended.
