A 49 year old Tacoma man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, died Friday morning after his pickup went off an embankment near Blewett Pass and landed in Ruby Creek. The State Patrol reports that the man was northbound on State Route 97 when his 2000 Mazda pickup left the snowy roadway around eight a.m. When he overcorrected his pickup left the road to the left, went over an embankment and rolled, coming to rest in the Creek. The man died at the scene of the accident.
