RITZVILLE, Wash. (AP) - Police in Ritzville say a 38-year-old woman was struck and killed by an Amtrak train.
Police tell The Spokesman-Review that Angela Ann Leon was walking across the Burlington Northern Santa Fe main rail line late Wednesday night when she was hit by the eastbound train, which was traveling 50 mph.
The train blew its whistle but police say the Ritzville woman did not acknowledge the sound.
