Okanogan Street in Wenatchee, from Ferry to Peachy Streets, was closed for several hours Sunday morning following an early morning hit and run accident that left a power pole hanging by its wires. Sergeant Cherie Smith with the Wenatchee Police Department says the accident, in the 600 block of Okanogan Street, was reported a little before 3-45am. At this time, it's not known if the accident was caused by alcohol, snowy roads, speed, or a combination of all three. She says officers do have a good clue to work on, the SUV's license plate was left behind at the scene of the accident.
