The Washington State Housing Finance Commission wants to ease the rigors of buying a home by offering a "A First Time Home Buyers" workshop this Saturday.
Professionals within the housing industry will guide those aspiring to buy a home for the first time in a five hour seminar.
Bill Wortley of the Finance Commission says the session does a good job of explaining the do's and don'ts of buying home.
Wortley claims that sellers tend to inflate the incomes of buyers when submitting housing applications.
That means it appears to banks as if the purchaser can buy the home even though its beyond their budget.
Wortley adds that this can lead to foreclosure down the road.
The seminar will take place from 9a.m. to 2p.m. at Columbia Valley Housing Building on 1120 ninth street in Wenatchee.
