The results of the recent Holiday drunk driving emphasis patrols show that In Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties, 92 motorists were stopped and arrested. Statewide over 3800 drivers were arrested for DUI.
Last year during the same time period, officers in the three NorthCentral Washington Counties arrested 43 people for DUI.
During 2010, drinking drivers killed 188 people, representing more than 40 percent of the 458 people who died on Washington’s roadways.
