An argument over rent escalated into a fight that landed a 31 year old Bridgeport woman in jail. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 12 hundred block of Fairview Avenue in Bridgeport Friday evening. The incident involved three room mates, two women and a man. Gjesdal says during the fight the two women fell onto a glass table, shattering the top. Gjesdal says the suspect reportedly threw large pieces of broken glass at the two victims, who hid behind a door. The female victim suffered a cut to her nose and had lost several clumps of hair during the fight. Gjesdal says when officers arrived the suspect cursed the Deputies and showed signs of intoxication. When officers tried to arrest her, the suspect fled but was apprehended within a block. The woman was taken to the Okanogan County Jail and booked for two counts of second degree assault and resisting arrest.
