Nearly three dozen hopefuls for the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Royal Court will be narrowed to the top Ten finalists this week. Festival Administrator Darci Waterman says the last few years have seen a lot of interest, with high numbers of candidates. Tuesday the Festival holds a Candidate's Reception at seven at the Performing Arts Center. Waterman says the event is a great chance for the public to get to know the candidates as they will be on stage telling the audience of friends and family about themselves. Wednesday ten candidates, five each from the Wenatchee and Eastmont School Districts will be selected by a vote of their peers and three out of town judges. The Announcement of the Top 10 will take place at six p.m., also at the Performing Arts Center.
