Applications are being taken for several vacancies in two provincial advisory committees that report to the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Forest Service spokeswoman Robin DeMario says applicants are being sought for positions on the committees that represent fish, environmental groups, forest products industry, forest conservation and mining. She says over the past 17 years those committees have provided valuable input and advice to the Forest Service on a wide range of issues. If you are interested in serving on either of the committees, which typically meet for a day long session every two or three months, you can get applications from the Forest Service Headquarters in Wenatchee, the Okanogan Valley Office, or any ranger district. Applications need to be submitted by the end of March.
